Old Speedway Meadow and the Polo Field Track are surrounded by ample street parking. Additionally, there is a small parking lot on the West end of Old Speedway, adjacent to the registration tables. Parking is first come first serve. We also encourage biking and public transportation. Both the 29 and 18 Muni buses have stops within a 10 min walk of Old Speedway.
The Walk map:
Check-in will open at 9am and remain open throughout the event. The event programming will begin at 10am with our Shining Stars Ceremony. The walk itself will begin immediately following the ceremony, arriving back at Old Speedway Meadow for family-friendly festivities and refreshments. We encourage families to arrive early, socialize and enjoy refreshments, and bring a picnic to enjoy following the walk at our beautiful grassy location.
Everyone is welcome to register day-of on site, however t-shirts are first come first serve if you register after the 9/23 deadline.
We will have family friendly festivities for all to enjoy. This year, we look forward to the Tree Frog Treks naturalists and their wild animals returning, as well as some surprise guests from the Rebel Legion. Kids can enjoy music, bubbles, and fall crafts before and after the Tree Frog Treks show at 11:30.
Food and Drink:
Light refreshments and kid-friendly snacks will be served. We will have water on hand, please bring your water bottles to refill as SF Parks and Recs does not allow the distribution of individually sized disposable water bottles.
